Who Writes Pond Pumps Adviser
How our guides are researched and produced.
Pond Pumps Adviser is a small, independently run website. Articles are published under the site’s name rather than under individual bylines.
How our guides are produced
- Research. Guides draw on published sources: manufacturer documentation and specifications where particular products are discussed, and established formulas and rules of thumb for general advice.
- Calculation. Figures such as pond volume, pipe friction and running costs are calculated with standard formulas, and we show the assumptions so you can check them.
- Plain explanation. We write for pond owners, not engineers, and we explain the reasoning as well as the answer.
- Review and correction. Guides are revisited, and the date of the most recent update is shown at the top of each one.
What we do not claim
We do not claim professional qualifications, laboratory testing or first-hand ownership of the products we write about. Our work is desk research, and every guide says so. If that changes for a particular article, the article will state exactly what was tested and how.
